Legacy & Leadership
Thirty-seven years of martial arts heritage, forging an indomitable spirit.
The Legend of BTTC
The story of BTTC began on Valentine's Day, 1989, when Master Tan Seow May planted the first seeds of martial arts at the old SJKC Bachang in Melaka. Driven by a vision to provide authentic ITF Taekwondo training, she overcame numerous challenges as a pioneering female martial artist to establish what would become one of the region's most respected institutions.
Over the past 37 years, Master Tan has successfully integrated Taekwondo into Melaka’s premier educational institutions, building a bridge between traditional martial arts and modern character development. What started as a single training ground has evolved into a multi-center legacy that has nurtured over 10,000 students including doctors, lawyers, and leaders who carry the BTTC spirit in their professional lives.
